Baldwin Hills Elementary has a stellar teaching staff, many of whom hold advanced degrees and are National Board Certified, among other honors. The unique gifts they bring to our students are also highlighted in two books released in 2023: Antiracist Art Activities for Kids, co-authored by Baldwin's 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Tamara Slade, and Unearthing Joy, a Guide to Culturally and Historically Responsive Teaching and Learning by Gholdy Muhammad, which features exemplar units of study from two of Baldwin's teachers, Ms. Tracey Pharris (2nd grade) and Ms. Stacey Joy (5th grade). We are so lucky to have such a talented group of educators!
