Baldwin Hills Community Fights for Educational Justice

On January 21, 2023, Neighbors in Action for BHES hosted an information session asking for help with regaining full use of our campus. A political science professor from Whittier College, Sara Angeviene joined parents Rev. Dr. AmberMarie Irving, Love Collins, Ivan Gamble, Kinley Croton, Alan Canterbury, and Joanna Casucci in presenting a powerful case for rethinking proposition 39 and pressuring District officials to do right by Baldwin. 66 political and community leaders, parents, neighbors, and members of the press attended.
